Title DeKalb County Courthouse Postcard

Description This is a picture postcard of the DeKalb County Courthouse in Auburn, Indiana. The courthouse is bounded by Seventh, Cedar, Ninth and Main streets. The photograph is taken from the corner of Ninth and Cedar streets. The postcard shows a three-story light-colored courthouse. There is a decorative entrance in the center of the courthouse on each side that is visible, with large windows and columns on the two stories above the entrance. Above that on each visible side is a decorative peaked roof section with a clock, with the hands at approximately 9:25. Under the clock on the right (east) side is carved: "DeKalb Covnty Covrt Hovse." The courthouse has three-story sections on either side of the taller area over the entrance. On the front of the postcard is printed: "DeKalb County Court House, Auburn, Indiana F-349." The back of the postcard is unused. The postcard was published by Wayne Paper Box and Printing Corporation in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
